Anthurium Midnight Velvet x Eyewall
A line-breeding project that I'm working on. The goal with this inter line hybrid was to attempt a quasi-backcross, hoping to combine the best traits of both parents, ideally creating a "better" Midnight Velvet.
The seed parent has superior colour on the adaxial veining with really nice brown hue & dark red/purple adaxial veining, while the pollen parent has insane texture, the DARKEST emergents & some of the craziest abaxial surface colouring.
No matter what the outcome, I expect the offspring of this hybrid to be DARK, elongate & a high percentage of plants with strong red features.
