Anthurium pap och x dress RBC
The seed parent is a papillilaminum x ochranthum I purchased from Living Art Store. It’s matured into one of my favourite weirdos - wide sinus, red-veined emergents, texture that gives kunayalense vibes.
The pollen parent is an insane specimen that just has it all - dark colour, pillowy velvet texture, purple petioles & abaxial veins, topped off with a nice compact growth habit.
The goal of this hybrid is to work towards pillowy dark subvelvets with wide sinus, strong red traits.
Ideally it would be sick to end up with some offspring that take the shape of the seed parent with the colour & velvet texture of the pollen parent. The chances of the stars aligning & how strong the wide sinus genes are remains to be seen.
Either way, I expect these will be a super fun batch to grow, with a wide amount of variability amongst the offspring.
