Anthurium 'Deadpool' x '#Midnight Velvet'
Deadpool is easily one of our most unique mother plants - think Circus Peanuts but better in every way. Narrow, elongate, sub-velvet, with insane emergents & strong red traits.
Midnight Velvet needs no introduction - dark with warm brown hardened leaves, strong red traits that pass on reliably to it's offspring, the deepest maroon abaxials going & velvet pleated texture that's hard to match.
Deadpool already carries MV blood. This cross puts it back in as the pollen parent - doubling down on everything that makes both plants what they are.
The goal here is Deadpool's insane character, but on a more velvet base with more pleated texture.
Based on the success of previous crosses with Deadpool, I'm excited to see what comes from this pairing.
