Anthurium (Black x dress) x (antolakii DP x dress carla)
Form, texture, and a colour shift you don’t see every day.
The seed parent (‘Black’ x dressleri) throws rich maroon / purple emergents with warm golden veins. Hardens off extremely dark but keeps that warmth in the finish. Shape is refined, velvet finish is off the charts, with a nice bullate pillowy concave shape.
The pollen parent ([antolakii x 'Dark Phoenix') x (dress x carla)] is round, bold, and pillowy. Leaves emerge in a washed brass tone that hardens off dark with inky blue tones, contrasted by the clean crisp veins radiating from the plexus.
The goal is dark, round, velvet pillowy leaves with clean radiating veins. It will be interesting to see how the combination of warm & cool hues play out in the offspring.
